Thanks. Their conclusion was that small scale equipment has it's place and maybe a bigger place in the future where smaller lots are being selectivly harvested.
The Appendix was interesting for the things mentioned and the things not mentioned. I never thought of a JD 540 as a small machine  :o but maybe it is now. The Forcat 2000 ( Berfor ) wasn't mentioned.

Ya, I thought that the report was put together fairly well, although I was hoping for a little more content.  It is a good prep article for people interested in small scale operation but not necessary loggers. I also like the overview of equipment in the annex.

I saw the B2000 at that last show.
It had about one hour on it and the rubber wheels had chunks of rubber coming off them from what looked to be from the steel guides on the tracks. ::)
