Title: I believe this to be a red oak.
Post by: firefighter ontheside on March 20, 2019, 10:21:54 PM
I'm picking these logs up on Friday.  I was told they are oak.  I believe they are some variety of red oak.  Can anybody say what variety.

Check the inner bark.  If it is bright orange, it is black oak.  It looks like that it might be black oak.  If you can get twig with a bud, the buds should be a little fuzzy.
