Tam-i-am

Due to the snowstorm on Friday we had to change some of our plans.  But the weather was great on Saturday and saw dust and axes were flying!

Dave Mann flew in to help the NY WoodMizer guys run the mills.

Later when the boys were tired of running the mills, Alissa and Jenny took out their saws to make some sawdust of their own.

We were able to convince Alissa to give the Logrite girls some lessons in ax throwing.

Krista our welder in training was a natural, hit the target first time.  (sorry no pic- not quick enough)
After our welder, Amy's turn we decided to put the axes away.

Alissa found something that Amy was better at.

There was log rolling with Alissa's racing peaveys.  This year Alissa and her partner Michele won the world championship with these two peaveys.  Jim is a local arborist who did quite well up against the world champ!

I think a good time was had by all!
I have some video of the hot saws and log rolling I will post later.

My girlfriend and I made the trip to Vernon for the open house and we had a great time.

Tammy, Kevin and family were very welcoming as this was our first time to Logrite world headquarters.

They have an amazing facility and staff also.

The Woodmizer demo's were well attended and informative.

I came home with a new cant hook, firewood  log stand and some " Bluecreeper"

Considering the snow storm the day before, it was a perfect, sunny day for an open house.

Thanks to Kevin and Tammy from all who attended the open house.

Pic of my cant hook and my birthday gift that arrived today.

There was a couple of birthdays celebrated on Saturday, happy birthday to them.

Well pictures are not loading, so another day for them possibly, sorry.

Jim is a local arborist who was a good sport about competing with Alissa.
Jim kept losing the hot saw competition.  But when Alissa let him use her other hot saw he was able to get some cookies on the ground before she was finished.  He did much better log rolling.

I will be using the hook for moving log lengths off the pile, moving logs on job sites and once and while to move my mother in law off my couch  :D

For some reason I let this one slip by, darn.

Looked like fun.

What town are you from, sweetjetskier?  I am an arborist in from Seymour.
