thanks for the shout out at 5:25. I have only tapped walnut with success and tried soft maple and sycamore without.  Still one of the most prolific syrup makers...in Kansas.   :D :D :D   not a good year for us this year.

Walnut probably does produce a bit. I know butternut used to be tapped for sap. We never did here because like Corly5 and Nailhead, we are in sugar maple country.
