I have a lot of logs that I have been neglecting. I'm trying to get my Linn Lumber 1900 properly adjusted to efficiently get going on them. It does not have the hydraulic blade tensioner, and over the last several years, I been using a torque wrench and adjusting the blade to 35 foot pounds of tension. I've looked through the documentation I have, and the Linn Lumber website, and have not found a number.
Thanks.

Could you post a picture of the tensioner.
I know that there are blade mountedstrain gauges that exist also, that might be what you need.

Change is hard....
Especially when a jar full of it falls off the top shelf and hits your head!

The torque wrench measures the amount of torque applied to the machine-thread bolt of the blade tension mechanism. That does not indicate actual blade *strain, it's a rough approximation of what the blade strain might be.

Where did the "35 foot pounds of ?tension" you've been using come from?

What number are you looking for?
