Have any of you tried the new router/planer setup from Baileys?

Thinking of getting the planer head for my Lucas, do you guys get good service from it?

Good service from both. I've talked with Baileys about problems and they had Warren Lucas call me to make sure everything was alright with my mill.  Baileys is good people.

Haven't tried the planer blade set up but I've seen it work.  Works good.
To forget one's purpose is the commonest form of stupidity.

The planer head works great. If you have a stack of slabs laying around or need a way to flatten bench tops it will treat you well. Keep it out of the dirt and the blades will last quite a while, and are 4 sided so you can rotate.

I like Lucas Mills and big wood.  www.logboy.com

Best thing I ever got - after the mill of course!!! I got one about 4 years ago now - haven't used it much, but it has been terrific when I have used it!!!

One of its earliest tests was dry interlocked grain on a hardwood crotch

did a fantastic job with no tearout

part way through the slab at the time, came up a treat
