Sweet mate!!!! two thumbs up, you are gonna love it!!! an 8-27 is an old gal, but a good workhorse and if she's only got 400 hours, then you are on a winner mate. Forum member Weisyboy had the same model until a few months back -when he got hold of a 10-30 (namely my carby 10-30...let me get into the EFI 10"  ;D)

Any issues with setting up, or any kind of q's feel free to ask away mate  ;)

Again good onya 8)

Thanks Sigidi,  I'm sure I will be posting some questions soon enough!!

Today was the day to run a trial with the Lucas.

Did oil and filter change on the motor,
Oil change on the gearbox,
Air filter service,
General cleaning and a good once over.

First log was an Ash,  lots to learn still, but man I like that circle blade!!

That's the Lad having a go!

Ash log not more than 20 feet from where it was laid down

Sweet as mate 8)

Mine got a service over the weekend... took the shrouds off, cleaned out the eninge fins, blew out any sawdust I could find, dropped oil and replaced oil filter, air filter also. Then went along and replaced all rollers too.

This is how she looked when I finished...

This is what has been happening 3-4 times a day while milling at the moment...

This is how she looked after first day back from the service...

Gee, it's even got the sidewinder modification.  That's probably an add on but comes with all the new mills.  Good buy.

Narrow trolly wheels should be on the left for straighter cuts and wasn't mentioned in the factory manual.  It was a running change in production and not well advertised.
To forget one's purpose is the commonest form of stupidity.

KnotBB, not sure about if the narrow rollers should be one particular side or another, over time there has been talk about them being better one or side or the other, but I've swapped 'em around over the years a few times and now run with all narrow anyway ;D

Sidewinder is a good thing to have for sure
