Is it possible to reseed tropical forest with aircraft with mulberry tree seeds, to fill the gaps, rainfall is about 30 inches annually.

Might be possible, but why would you want to re-forest with mulberry trees?

Reseeding with aircraft is common around here. Several things that must be in place before it can be successful:

1. Seed and machinery have to be matched so that the seed can be spread. For example, aerial seeding of northern white cedar (Thuja occidentalis) is impossible because they haven't figured out how to dewing the seeds. Without the seeds dewinged they just flutter in the breeze and can't be spread. It's like trying to throw confetti.

2. The forest floor has to be in a state that the seed can germinate and grow on. Red pine (Pinus resinosa) will not germinate on anything but mineral soil. If you were to try aerial seeding red pine into a clearcut that had been cut in the winter (frozen ground, very little soil disturbance) you would get very, very few seeds to germinate. So the soil has to be prepared for the seed you are seeding in.
