Myself, snowstorm and a logger from up the road just got back from the open house in dixfeild maine. It was a nice tour and lunch. Never seen the inside of the mill till today. This is the first trip to the open house i have took. They saw 1.6 million ft a week!  This is in 4 days! The guy that took us in the mill was nice to answer all ? asked. All i can say is its a state of the art mill.

Quite the place. Just about all run by computers. Don't really need a sawyer any more. Not like when Jeff was running the head saw. They was running it slow when I was there,so there would be no problems. Looked fast to me.
