2 storey build

Hi folks,

I'm looking to build my off-grid home with milled logs from my woodlot. EWP and RS and a local timber framing company would be carving and erecting.

I have zero timber framing experience, but essentially am looking to design a full 2 storey Cape build, where the 2nd floor has a straight 8' wall. Does anyone happen to have any experience and/or advice with something like this?

Yes, its from the book. Just wondering if anyone on the board has experience with a full wall 2nd storey, any advice etc.
