Several months ago I posted about a problem that I was having with a bed extension that was not lining up properly on my WM LT15.  I called WM and they could not figure out the problem.  Recently I noted that the WM bed extensions were 6'8" and lo and behold my extension was much longer.  So I called the fellow that sold me the saw and learned that he had built the extension himself.
Fran had done such a professional job that it looked exactly like the WM extensions (even the paint matched) and the only difference was in a very small difference in the width of the rails (less than 1/8") and there were no alignment pins.  I'll add the pins when I get back to WV and the small width change will be of no consequence at all.  I'm sure that the width change was due to weld shrinkage as the fabrication was as good as it could be.   Mystery solved.
