Every year on this weekend I help my wife clean a polo barn that a local horse farm uses for a show. We only clean the spectators area and bathrooms. I don't have to clean up after the horses, just thier owners!
This year is the tenth that she has done it, the ninth that I have had to help.
I like working with her and we always have fun.
The problem is that I never get paid :o
She collects the $$ and I am lucky if I get a peck on the cheek and an ice cream sandwich!!
It ain't fair I tell ya!

She claims every year she has given me a raise. I haven't seen a nickle. >:(

Hmmmm, something wrong with this picture allright ;D Sounds like you need to do some negotiating.
old age and treachery will always overcome youth and enthusiasm

She definitely needs to double your pay. Next year you should get a peck on both cheeks. 8) Forget about getting two ice cream sandwiches, they cost money. ;)
Things turn out best for people who make the best of how things turn out.

OK, whats a "chukka"?

This is a Jumping show.

"stick and ball time" may be polo ??

It is a polo arena, but no polo going on this weekend.

MH, it is indeed polo stuff.

Lots of people turn their nose up at it, mostly those that haven't played it.  ::)

Picture a game of hockey played on horse back.  :)

After most games my face hurts more from laughing than my ........ oh never mind. Just old age.  ::)

weimedog,
How did you find this tread??
The Polo barn in question is the Cornell University Polo Arena. Yes it is indoors. One of my favorite parts of this job is that on Sunday after the jumping show is over someone lets the Polo ponies out in the arena to streach thier legs. They sure do have fun, running around, kicking thier heals, rolling in the dirt.

This years show is coming up soon. I can probubly expect another raise this year ::)
