2 nights ago, no grits but this simple meal, pan fried venison steak from what we here call the beaver tail muscle, flash fried over high heat in olive oil and butter for about 30 seconds per side. I usually use bacon grease but don't have any at the moment, Linda's re purposed baked potato with butter, sour cream and onion and cooked baby carrots .

Heck no Jeff this was a type of presentation I saw on a cooking show.
At camp especially, plates are heaped high.
We use these trays while watching the news etc cause they fit in our laps nicely, but I wouldnt want my ice cream touching the carrots

oh man the next pic will be of pepper jelly on top of grits or grits on top of pepper jelly either way you will still ruin the peppers i never had pepper jelly but had mater jelly wasn't great but better than the best grits you can buy :D
