Title: Installing Hydraulic 3rd service
Post by: Qweaver on February 24, 2018, 12:36:02 PM
I want to use a grapple on my L2501 and need to buy and install a 3rd service.  The buy and install is $1300 at the local Kubota dealer.  $900 for the parts.  Is the install really that hard?
Is there a good aftermarket solution?

If you don't have easy access to a power beyond port on your valve bank then V+M out of South Dakota has a Add-A-Valve system that you can install yourself.  I have one and they work quite well, worth checking out, I think it took half an hour to put it all on.

Long Kit (http://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?topic=100211.msg1553581#msg1553581)

A google search  of "third function kit" will lead you to many choices.Good luck

I have enjoyed my 3rd function from WR Long.  Rocker is located on loader joy stick.  Really easy to use.

Another member, Bruno has a thread going on now about adding a Long device.
