We were done on March 6th last year. Had a load of pine pulp go out today and a load of hemlock pulp still to go. The truck road has about 3" of mud where the sun hits it but the rest is still solid ice.

I would've taken a few more weeks of cold to keep things froze up tight. We had the mules to the pans a week ago already. Weight restrictions go on Monday at noon. Hope my hauler gets my grade logs out before then!! If he can get to them. We'll see Saturday when he comes with the log buyer.

weight restrictions have been on since monday morning here  in nova scotia.

did some digging in the yard yesterday and there is absolutely no frost in the ground. things have actually dried up alot this week but it looks like a few days of rain coming.

hopefully the weather patterns will remain consistent and restrictions will lift by early april........  hopefully

Sounds like we have 4" of mud at the moment and we are going to get 8-12" of snow on top of it tomorrow.
I can't wait to cut wood on Saturday!!
SO YOU WANT TO BE A LOGGER
My father asked??
I used to always say....
No dad. I have a real job.
I work 50 hours a week. ( my day job)
Run a farm.
And cut timber and clear land for more pasture when my eyes aren't closed for sleeping.
Wouldn't change a thing.
