I have a friend in the Shreveport, LA area looking for someone to come to his place and mill some pine. Any forum members with a portable mill in that area? If not any recommendations?

Check the Extra's box above here on the FF and see if there is a FF member registered near there. If none you can check the WM site under their Services tab for a local sawyer who may be close enough. I don't know if the other sponsors offer a handshake arrangement like WM but if nothing on FF or WM I'd start contacting them to see if they have such an arrangement. Good luck.

I'm in the Shreveport area. I would enjoy cutting for your friend but I just started cutting 14 truck loads of cypress and 2 loads of cedar. I might not ever leave lol.
