Hello everyone, we appreciate being added to this group.
We (Scott and Kay) are starting a new portable sawmill business in NorthCentralEast Tennessee (Long skinny State makes it harder to describe). We have been lurking on here for months, talking to a lot of people, planning and researching. We looked at woodmizer, cook, timber king and everything else we could find and finally settled on TK for a few major reasons warranty being high on the list.
We look forward to asking a lot of questions and getting a lot of feedback.
We are ordering our mill in a day or two and will be going to KC to pick it up in about 6 to 8 weeks.
as far as other things we have done.
Built several of our own barns and houses, worn out several chainsaws and almost worn out a Carlton ox stump grinder clearing many acres of land.
we have a ton to learn still and look forward to thoughts and suggestions.
thank you
Welcome to the forum Timber Creek, be careful of the path you are heading down - it is very addictive!!
Welcome to the forum and good luck with your new business venture.
TimberCreek,
Congratulations on your new business and the purchase of a new TK Sawmill. If you don't already know you will learn a lot from this forum and you likely will not find a better place to come for real answers on questions about the sawmilling business. As a happy TK owner myself I was wondering what mill you selected?

Congratulations on the business decision and selecting a mill. TK's are good mills.
Best of luck to you!
Welcome Timbercreek, of coarse once you get the TK up and running we'll need pics :).
Welcome.
Hope you wave hi, as you drive by. ;D
