Now that is downright mean!! We won't see local strawberries until July. Heck, we still have snow on the ground.

Those look good.
I worked at a u-pick strawberry place for a season. Nothing like fresh strawberries first thing in the morning.

We have finished off about half a flat between my wife and me over the last week. Our 12 y/o granddaughter sold them to us as part of a fund raiser for her middle school band. My favorite application is in a bowl of vanilla ice cream. A few mixed nuts have been known to spill over them and those bananas on the island may no be long for this world.

We've been chowing down Plant City Florida strawberry's for about a month.
Blue Bunny is my favorite ice cream.

This year's weather compromised both the Crawfish and Strawberry crops that we get out of South Louisiana.  Hopefully we will now have a good supply for a good while.

Somehow mud bugs and strawberries in the same sentence don't seem right.  :D

Lee,

Just mix them in a big bowl of grits and everything will be fine. :D

Maybe but I don't eat grits any more. I gave up carbs. Still do mud bugs though.

The price is falling around here as we get to the end of the growing season. I'd send you a bucket full but I doubt they'd survive the transit.

Notice that the red color goes all of the way through Louisiana Strawberries making them very sweet and tasty.

Guess that I am weak and couldn't help myself.  ;D

Due to the nature of the above photo, it will be moved to the woodshed.

One of the very few things I miss about Florida is the Plant city strawberries.
Bill Maybe we can barter cheese for strawberries next year if you can figure a way to ship em.
