Any thoughts on Meteor piston and cylinder kits , purchased for $ 20. scored but Very clean unit , sold in 2005 when I was a dealer but OEM parts are expensive now And I will be repairing to resell
Get price from Spike60 kits have come way down. May be same or less than Meteor kit.
Shep
Meteor pistons are excellent. It is unlikely that the cylinder cannot be cleaned up with muratic acid and some fine grit sand paper.
And of course there is the required comment, correct whatever scored it to begin with.
OEM kits can be had for 125ish if you shop around. Before you disassemble, I would pressure and vacuum check the saw to find out why it burned up in the first place. I'll triple your money on it today.
