Title: Maine's new world record
Post by: JJ on April 09, 2018, 01:23:09 PM
Since the first time I have ever seen one of these was a video posted on this board.
Maine has new World Record for largest Ice Carousel.

Perseverance pays off as County residents create world record ice carousel - Fiddlehead Focus (http://fiddleheadfocus.com/2018/04/08/news/perseverance-pays-off-as-county-residents-create-world-record-ice-carousel/)

Big enough to land a chopper on.

Looks like fun, but also a lot of work.   Was anyone there?

People must get awful bored in Maine in the winter time to think up something like that. :D I am sure everyone who helped and were present had a good time.

Its too bad they didn't have video posted of the one in Maine spinning.  There must be one somewhere..

Well, I was not there for this event, but the video of the helicopter panned by my old place multiple times.  Can't see the house in the video but you do see the "Sporting Club" - the large set of buildings, (wicked good food) I lived just to the right of that just a short bit a long time ago.

WV - yes winter is long in the Valley, July 5th - June 30th most years - so you find ways to stay warm as you have to be inside during the other 5 days of the year - black fly season and 4th of July!!  :D
