I have a customer that has 5 or 6 10 ft oak logs that range from 38" to 50" small end diameter that need milling. Can't handel them on the Wood-Mizer and I'm not interested in chain saw quartering them.
Anybody out interested in doing this job?
Buck,
How soon does he need them milled?
I am working on getting a Peterson.
Let me know.

Buck, check with Sawmill John on the FF. He will be able to tell you who the closest MD mill opereator is in your area of need.
Mark,
Don't know if he has a real time crunch. It's just that the logs are down and need milling. The tree came down in a storm last year. They cut them up and dragged them into the corner of a nearby pasture. The others are about 1/2 mile away near the farm work shop area.
I still have about 3000 bf of smaller stuff (18"-28") to mill for him. I hope to finish it up 2nd weekend in February.
Send me a private message and I'll give you the specifics on my billing fee arrangements.
Dave
Buck,
Since the logs have been down for a while the sap wood is most likely gone.
No big deal there since they are Oaks. If you can seal the ends and put them on bolsters.
I'll send a PM for specifics.
