There are 8 distinct trees near me, and I'd love to know what they are.
Can anyone help with these ones? I've attached pictures of the leaves.

Thank you for your help and wisdom!
You need to post your location to help.
1 and 4 look the same. No idea.
3 I'd say black locust.
7 looks like it could be big tooth aspen.
Others no idea.
Interested.
Here is my take:
1. A birch
2. Some type of fruit tree, not sure which.
3. Black locust
4. Another birch
5. Sugar Maple
6. ?
7. Bigtooth aspen
8. I agree with apple
I'm guessing a Rhododendron for #6 since it seems still undefined.
#6 looks like a Camellia to me.
I should probably have stated: I'm in North Yorkshire, England.
Thanks for your inputs so far - really interesting! How possible is it that number 2 is a cherry blossom?

#2 does look a lot like Prunus Avium which is a common ornamental cherry, with some fancy flowering blossom versions.
I am with Ian on #2. Most likely sweet cherry.
I'm still wondering why #5 is not an oak. Lobes don't look to me much like any maple I am familiar with.
Yes, #2 looks like our wild sweet cherry we call Blackheart cherry. Tasty but small. Wood not as dark as wild Black cherry.
#5 looks to me like field maple Acer campestre
#2 kanzan cherry does it have a mostly smooth gray/silver bark ?
Howard, the venation in maple is palmate while in oaks, it is pinnate. The venation of the leaf in the pic is palmate (radiating out from a central point).
