Title: Lube running when it shouldn't
Post by: Jjoness4 on August 11, 2018, 10:04:33 AM
Without taking the cover off and looking at the design, I am taking the lazy man's way out and asking you guys.
Lube is running even when carriage drive drum switch is not activated.  Is the solenoid for the lube flow just a pinch valve type design (on/off). Is the solenoid not pinching the Tygon hose sufficiently? Or is the solenoid defective?   Advice welcome.

I would start at the solenoid with a test light or a muti meter..If yours is the gravity system and its stuck on, Id almost bet a canadian dollar ;D that its the solonoid. Chances are a piece of sawdust found its way in there and has it stuck open...

If you have the Lube Mizer system then the problem will be check valves which are either defective or need cleaning.

Your mill does not have a Lube-Mizer. It has a water shut-off solenoid mounted under the water bottle. It is either stuck open or has debris in it. Either way it is covered under warranty.

How did you fix it?  Replace it, clean it out?
