Title: Bid sheet sent out.
Post by: gizmo on August 18, 2018, 06:56:04 PM
After many years of debating and having different loggers on my property I finally decided to get logged. Using the advice on this forum I hired a forester and more than pleased I did. Very nice to deal with, told me what I have and what it's worth, what I should accept as the lowest bid but its my choice if I take a lowball. Quite excited to see when the bids come in at the end of the month..
34k of red oak 16k of ash and bc, tp ,hard maple etc... It'll break my heart to see it go but life goes on.

Cutting while timber is high is a lot less heartbreaking than cutting when its down.  Your heart will heal and the trees will grow back.
