Title: Parting saws out?
Post by: Upstatewoodchuc on September 16, 2018, 03:19:27 PM
So I'm starting to aquire a couple saws that are just past their prime, my local dealer when I trade in towards new saws gives alright prices, but would I be better parting these out on eBay? I already sell alot of other stuff on eBay, I just started browsing saw part prices and it seems some of my saws are worth more apart. Does anyone have experience with how fast the saw parts move? Mostly husky stuff for your information, thanks.

Depends on many variables. Are AM parts available for the model? Are new OEM parts really high priced? Is model considered desirable? Are parts priced competitively? Some parts move quickly, some slowly.

Fair enough, that makes sense. I think I'm gonna sample the waters by parting out a husky 345 I have that's past it's prime, if it proves worthwhile I might do more.
