Title: Gamewell antique fire alarm box
Post by: sawdust on October 07, 2018, 10:52:39 PM

I have an antique fire alarm pull box. The main spring is wound a little too tight. Has any one here any experience with these devices? I would really appreciate a manual but cannot find if they exist.

The cast iron outer box has Northern Electric Company cast into it. They were made under license from Gamewell.

Thanks Texas, I had been looking at that forum and also the facebook forum. Neither had any actual fixing info. I do not wish to turn mine into a brand new box, just fix the spring. I suspect that the box actually works otherwise.
