Logs for this project were harvested last winter and milled into lumber on my homemade bandsaw mill. They were then dried to 7% moisture content. The table is 42" X 60" and has a one inch top. Legs are 3" and tapered to 2 1/4" at the bottom

That is GORGEOUS!!
Nice work!
I have used tamarack for decking but never tried woodworking with it, any issues with twisting?
Beautiful!! Tamarack is such an under appreciated wood, wow did you do it justice there!

I air dried it for about three months then inside in a controlled environment for two months. Some pieces twisted a little but after jointing and planing there seems to be no issues
Very nice work. What did you use for the finish?

I used a water based stain and six coats of gloss lacquer buffed to a semigloss/satin sheen.
Very nice!
By the way is the spruce coming back at all up there?
When I hunted moose in 72 there was lots but by the time I went again in the 90s it was all but gone.

We had a huge infestation of spruce budworm back then, and it was devastating. Control programs by the government seemed to have helped and spruce appears to be doing very well now.
Very nice lines. Very elegant.
Harmons_ranch, thanks
That table in a room would draw my attention to it!!
Can I look forward to seeing a table like that under my Christmas Tree, Santa? Don't look at your "Naughty or Nice List" until you answer.....
Very nice table!
Very nice work. Tree to table is a very satisfying journey and you have done it well.

Very nice table!
Unfortunately, Santa is short on cash this year, so he has to try and make a sale...lol. He might also see if he can conjure up some chairs.

Chairs!! I want pictures. ;D
Very nice! I wish tamarack grew here. I like it.
:o That finish really make it pop. Nice job.
I have some tamarack growing on my property .
It's only 7 or 8 inches on the stump but very tall.
I want to build some stuff with it when it gets big enough.
The table looks great👍
