Survivor: Edge of Extinction is premiering tonight on CBS. The season will feature 14 new contestants competing with four returning players.
Thankfully something returning to television that is enjoyable/entertaining.
Ha! You beat me! I was getting on just to post that! :)
Interesting. I wonder what the plan is with Reem? I don't blame the team for voting her off. Busybodies don't fare well in these dynamics.
This could be a very entertaining series. 8)
Sometimes I wish the antenna picked up more stations! I don't get it here.
Another of my survivor rules. Don't move other people's stuff. Will see if the guy with the advantage can keep his mouth shut. David looks like he has been eating well.
Let the fun begin.
Completely missed it! ::) >:(
You can watch it here.

I'll be curious to see if this one can keep my attention. I have missed a few series because of 1 or 2 individuals who just turn me off yet don't get voted out. Some I stopped watching right near the end. Lost interest. This one, so far, looks fairly good. I too am curious about this extinction island thing.
I am gonna just sit back and enjoy but I see that there will be some serious twist and surprises in this episode. ???
I'd have booted Wendy off instead of Chris. Waiting to see where the outcasts come back into play.
Looks like one tribe needs to go to puzzle solving school.
Producers probably thought there was no hope of that tribe winning again so are going to mix things up.
Wendy must have some redeeming qualities that are not obvious.
Be bossy, get voted off.
Can't swim get voted off.
Bullseye sandbag slingshotter get voted off.
Confuses me.
They definitely voted off the strength of their team. I noticed that at the end of the show, they are not showing the votes. I always like to see who voted who.
I noticed on the last show every time somebody went around trying to get the other members to vote a specific person off he/she got the ax instead of the intended victim. Kind of like a turkey sticking his head up over the log getting it shot off. At the end of the show the main ones left had not created many waves or garnered much attention.
We missed it last night. Who got the boot?
Chris got kicked off.
It will be interesting to see how Wendy will cover her tracks. I predict that sooner or later she will let the cat out of the bag about stealing that flint. She's a bit of a loose cannon right now. I personally would have much rather seen Wentworth go but that didn't happen. I think War Dog may meet his demise sooner than later for rubbing people the wrong way.
Did Chris take the chance to re-up or did he quit?
Chris took the torch to the boat with revenge in mind.
I suppose the twist coming is a team revenge vs the remaining tribe when the numbers get even.
At some point it is certainly going to get interesting. 8)
It's pretty interesting now! In actuality 3 weeks in and no one is gone. I can't imagine anyone in it to win would walk past that sign.
At the end previews said making three tribes next week 8) 8)
That ought to get real interesting! I bet the outcast tribe are going to be tough to beat. They have a lot of animosity to bring to the table. I'm looking forward to that.

Exactly right! No one has left the game yet. Meaning they are going to have to start getting rid of them, two or more at a time. I may be simple but this is the only show on network TV that has kept my interest for this long.
There could possibly be a whole tribe that has to leave after loosing a challenge. Talk about a fight for your life. :o
That's kinda what I'm thinking. Like a battle royal
Tough ending tonight. I did not want anyone of them to go. I'd say Wendy is the luckiest player on the team and her days are numbered. If I were on her team instead of hunting for hidden immunity idols I'd be hunting a chicken dinner and probably Wendy would wake up with a chicken head in her bed.
We went to a Birthday Party and forgot to record it. It is not there yet but maybe they will put the episode up on the website.

That really looks like a good possibility at this point .
We were able to go to the website and watch last night's episode. The end was kinda surprising but that is the way it is edited....for surprises. :)
I still believe that at some point, there are going to be some "going home" surprises. ;D

Yep, they edited to make us think Lauren just might cave and throw in the towel, but instead they voted Rick the news anchor out. Seems like Rick possibly knew he was signing off for the last time during his "News Cast" at the start of tribal.
I also had to laugh about Wendy's luck of the draw, unbelievable. She was on the chopping block big time for that fire starter reappearing act. She's fun to watch, but what a lose cannon. I've always said most people create their own luck. Wendy's luck will run out soon.
I would think that at some point they are going to make the castoffs on the island compete against one another to get back in the game.
Either compete against one another or compete against a whole tribe(s), winner(s) stays and looser(s) goes. :o
Well, I am happy to see Wendy get the boot. I wish she had not had the option to stay. What an airhead!
I think my new favorite player is Keith. What a devious little weasel! I loved it when he raced off looking for the advantage when the rest agreed to all go as a team. :D
It's fun watching but all bets are off for next week! :o
I like wendy. A unique personality.
Next episode is looking to be very, very interesting. How will the exiles act? Will their animosities boil over or will they focus on the game? I can imagine Aubry's feelings when she walked off with an idol and a vote and felt foolish. It would have been fun to watch the four on four if Aubry was at the last council and she slammed someone with the fifth vote. Might be what the producers hoped would happen , but the teams weren't in on that plan.
Aubry blew it. Wendy is a free spirit. What a great smile and attitude.
What did they list Wendy's occupation - Swap Meet vendor? I think Flea Market Floozy. I hope she wins and build a swap meet right next door to Jeff. (Sorry - the devil made me say that). :D At least you will have plenty of free range chickens to to choose from even if you can't find your firestarter to cook them. :D :D
If I were to judge everyone by personality traits appearance or occupation, the forum would be a lonely place. In fact, I probably wouldn't be here if reverse judgement were to occur.
That first chick that was voted out has some anger issues.
Another thing I was thinking is that I bet they didn't let ol wardog play with many hand grenades.
He would definitely be a danger in his own foxhole.
He's definitely made the right career decision from what I see.

That first chick that was voted out has some anger issues.
Lol...... Raider, she's a real ray of sunshine on a cloudy day isn't she.
Joe is such an amazing #1 asset in challenges and camp life. The guy can do it all while starving and sleep deprived. More importantly he continues to maintain good positive personal relationships with the other players. There's probably no player more deserving to win in my opinion.
Add Aubry to the list of players voted off with an idol in their pocket. It will be interesting to see how her revenge plays out. I really thought Aubry should have been able to read that little red head better, but editing of the production only allows us see what they want us to see. We will never really know how that pre-vote alliance agreement with Wendy and Victoria when down. Should be a real eye opener for Joe to see her voted out.
I'm with Jeff and Danny on Wendy's unique personality, smile, and attitude even though she is shat bit crazy. I would like to be a fly on the wall when she arrived at the outcast camp. I think Wendy has just what it will take to push Reem's anger issues over the top. Lol...
Looking forward to the chaos next week will bring. Seems it's anybodys game yet.
Quote from: DPatton on March 24, 2019, 09:19:50 AMpush Reem's anger issues over the top
...or to tame it.
If Wendy can tame Reem's anger, she has a big career ahead of her in anger management therapy. We will know in a couple days.
They have spiced this episode up enough to make it really interesting. I hated to see Joe leave but the tribe would/could never let him stay. Maybe he is tough enough to make it to the end.
Anyway, I am enjoying it and looking forward to next week.
Glad to see Devin back in the game. I am totally confused what the plan is with the outcasts now. That was a tough challenge for immunity and one tough broad. I don't know what is up with the "jury" either. I guess we will see more next week.
Just a few inches more and Wendy would not have motored off into the sunset. I was not rooting for her. Chris almost had it. Can you imagine the emotions trying to get that ball up into the hole knowing your future depended on it.
I like the way they are keeping the first voted out around giving them another chance. What would it be like sitting around on a vacation island with nothing to do for 4 weeks?
The producers are really mixing it up with this series and I am enjoying it. I'm really not rooting for any individual but there are a couple that I dislike.
For some reason I just could not get into it last night except for the immunity challenge. I think they must have a book of Marquis de Sade Survivor Immunity Challenges. They are real creative and I was real impressed with the last 3. I think the one young lady (Vicky?) must be a world class yoga master and seemed like she was in her own world almost the whole time.
There is getting to be a big herd around the tattered white flag.
Another gets to admire her idol.
If she gets back in the game, is her idol still valid?
How is wardog able to lead that pack?
My legs still ache from watching the last challenge.
Another fun night.
I liked the challenges again last night. No real concern one way or the other about the results. My prediction is that Wardog will end up as some low level politician with unrealized ambitions and goals to obtain higher level positions that will forever remain just beyond his grasp.
Wardog is not a very likeable sort. Devious enough to win, but I do not believe that he will make it. His finger has been in too many pots.
Slimey lawyer comes to mind..
A up and coming Michael Avenatti
Maybe he will marry airhead Wendy and he can set up his law office upstairs and she can sell flea market leftovers downstairs and they can live happily ever after off the synergy such a business arrangement generates. Behind their store/office you will be able to hear the sound of free range chickens clucking happily away.:D
And a dice game.
I have been on the road sawing for the past couple of weeks. I was able to watch last week and I caught the last half of last night. Well just in time to see David booted.
I have no idea where the producers are going with this series because I have only seen two actually leave so far?? There is going to be a battle somewhere along the line. :o
Glad to see war Dog hit the bricks today. I think he had outlived his stay long ago. I am still confused about the guys over on the edge of extinction and what will happen with them.
I too was glad to see the Dog leave, and I too am still wondering what is up with the rest of the series. ?? I have no favorite, just looking forward to it each week.
I am pulling for the local guy here, Devens.
I'm thinking that Wardog thought he was the one guiding everything, now we'll see what happens over at the Edge!
I like Devin too but I'm probably leaning more to Aurora. That is one tough lady.
Aurora or Gavin.
I was surprised to learn Aurora is a Lawyer.
Yea, I think Aurora would be my first choice, then Wendy. :D

Raider,
You have now challenged my faith in humanity and ruined my day >:(
If you are traveling through Kansas and become ill may you be forced to visit @doc henderson (http://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=profile;u=41041) and may all your meds be suppositories and may all your shots be given with square needles. :D
Happy to help any of my FF friends! We will keep the suppositories in the freezer till you get here! :o :D
I suggest dry ice.
I guess if you walk in our er and there seems to be a slight fog, you know what is in store. :)
Doc,
Thanks for the assist. I am sure @Raider Bill (http://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=profile;u=4445) will appreciate the treatment and knowing you are keeping his meds fresh in such a fashion. I guess you can just store them there with his metal bedpan. Is it true you routinely admit such out of state patients for a day or two and your dietician starts them off with a 16 oz glass of prune juice every morning? :D
Our goal is that it starts coming out the same color it went in, but we will send you home before we see the results. I cannot breach confidentiality, but some are more full of it than others. It does not bode well for anyone who is a senior member of the forestry forum. ::) Admins on that note, may actually require an operation for removal of same. :D
On this note I just scheduled my yearly colonoscopy. smiley_tom_tutnurhorn2
Did you schedule it with Doc Henderson? I hear he is open to accepting new patients and waiting to see you. :D :D
His fingers are too big.
Yeah and he's lost his class ring somewhere. :D
After 30 years of practice, I have many comments and jokes... but I am trying be good and not cross a line. Medical humor is a lot funnier to us medical people and most others, but funny is in the eyes of the beholder!!! 8). Did not want anyone to think I am speechless, but also trying to not cross any lines on the FF. Since we in medicine make these jokes often, I sometimes forget where the line is for "normal" people. My apologies to those of you who take offense to being called "normal". carry on gents! :) :) :)
Normal! DanG it I'm no steeking normal :D
Looks like Devens probably saved his skin with the idol, well at least there was not a second vote. There should be a scramble now for another hidden immunity idol.
The show's producers are messing with us with the "Edge" deal. ::)
I like the way he played that and tested the waters with the one Ron gave him first then used his real one. I sort of liked Ron but thought he thought he had too much control and he found out better.
I was disappointed in Aurora snooping in Devin's bag. I guess it is to be expected in a game like this but some lines I still think you should not cross. Probably did/will not hurt her but she won't win my vote for the June Lockheart America's sweetheart award this year.
Devin needs to go full bore to find another immunity idol. Last night was pure fun. What is with the island of extinction? I figure there will be another challenge to see who gets back in. How long will they wait?
A great play by Devens. He must win immunity or he is gone. Watch Gavin. He is a smart one.

Another way to spell snake is lawyer.
Well next week is the finale and there are a lot of people on the edge of extinction. Anybody figured out what's going to happen?
Deven was brilliant. :D
I agree. The rest of the team now are wondering if Devin actually has an idol or if they were duped. Way cool play and he still has his immunity idol for the next time if he doesn't win immunity again. If I'd been Gavin and had won the reward I'd have given my seat to one of the other ladies I think but it probably would not have mattered. They'd probably still stab you in the back. After Aurora broke my heart snooping in Devin's bag and I found she was a divorce lawyer I was reconciled to see her go.
Devens was Brilliant. Very smart, too. I hope he can continue, but now everyone is gunning for him as nobody can likely beat him if he makes it to the end, which is very doubtful.
With only one winning the edge survivor challenge, it will be Katy Bar The Door for them. One thing to play when you know you won't be going home and another to know everyone else will go home when you win and you will go home if you lose. I have liked Devin from the start. He worked hard to find the idol and then had some real fun teasing the rest.
Deven certainly is playing the game at a higher level than any of the others. I guess we'll find out how it all turns out next week.
Interesting if the person that comes back from the Edge makes it to the final three. They may get the jury vote if all the Edge people get to vote as they will have spent a long common time together.
Danny,
Interesting thought but from what I see the Edgers are not one big happy family so I am not sure that will help one of them in the final vote.
I suspect that there is some plotting going on on (Tom) the Edge.
I see many on the jury that are seeing that Deven is playing the game and earning his spot. He absolutely needs to win immunity in the finals because I seriously doubt that anyone would carry him to the finals.
He might can do it. He is the most motivated.
He seems to win immunity when he really needs it. It came in mighty handy this week and he got extra mileage out of his idol without playing it. Well done. He'll need to win immunity one more time or pull a rabbit out of the hat. There's going to be some devilish twist with those Edge people.
Tonight's the night we find out.
Wow! What a finish. I hate Rick Devin did not win but I am glad Chris did. I loved Devin's fake idol ploys. Chris was a real class act giving up immunity to Julie and picking Gavin to go with her then battling the number one player in fire making. I don't know what they could do to top this one. Great series. 8)
Yup, good season.
Next season? I hope I'm wrong but that just looks plain stoopid to me.
Brilliant move by Chris in the end, but I believe that he had an unfair advantage. Did you notice that all of Chris's votes (except for Victoria) came from those that were on the Edge the longest? Gavin's votes were from Wentworth, Aurora, Lauren, and Devens. Players who spent little or no time on the Edge.
So, there were two games being played. The traditional one to see which three makes it to the end, and then the behind the scenes playing at the Edge. Chris had almost 30 days to work those people, the Jury, as they came to the Edge. Many of them spent way more time with him than with the players playing the traditional game. Chris got to spend all that time with the Jury members. The Jury members are the ones that voted. In spite of all that Devens still almost made it to the end against heavy odds. However, I still suspect that Chris would have won anyway given his advantage.
Congratulations to Chris, and for us, this was the most enjoyable series in quite a while. Chris' move to build fire against Devens was brilliant.
I agree with Jeff about the next series. The plot seems kinda dumb. ::)
