She's a beaut but i have no clue what kind of wood i'm dealing with. Any help would be appreciated. This is in CA

Is it very aromatic? Eastern Redcedar
If you go to your gallery, click on the pic and scroll to the bottom of the pic there should be a tab that says "insert image in post" hit that and the pic should appear in your post.
I would say Juniper, which our ERC that Don mentioned actually is.
Thanks it looks like it matches the juniper ERC as you guys mentioned. I'll give it a good whiff later tonight and check out the aromatherapy
California, where? Could be young redwood or giant sequoia from the bark. Either can have dark heartwood. Both widely planted in landscapes.
