Title: 056 stihl worth fixing?
Post by: Tony_T on February 25, 2005, 04:04:25 PM
I've got a logosol mill and run an 066 stihl.

A logger friend gave me a bunch of his old parts saws , 3  056s.  One has a good powerhead but needs to have a working ignition switched into it.  Anyone have experience with an 056 who can give me a comparison to my 066 in regards to power and suitabilty for milling.  I'm wondering if its worth fixing up for a backup for my mill?

If it's an 056 Magnum I think it's 93cc engine, about the same as your 066 (91cc)
A standard 056 is 81cc, so thats a bit smaller.

If it's just going to take a bit of time to swap parts and get one going it's probably worth doing.
