Title: Audible alarm on Lt40
Post by: Crossroads on July 14, 2019, 11:40:00 AM
when I shut the mill off to get ready to load it at the end of the day yesterday. There was a beeping sound, I tried to pattern it, it seemed random. I turned the key off thinking it would stop it and/or reset whatever it was. Nope, still beeping. Then we noticed that if it stopped, it would start again anytime I bumped the mill. Then I moved the head down to the travel position and my customer was standing at the tongue and said it seems to be coming from here as he pointed to the hydraulic box. So my first thought was that there is a low level alarm on the hydraulic tank. As I finished securing the head for travel RJ says I found it. As he lifts up my metal detector that was laying on the ground under the hydraulics. 🙈🙈🙈🙈
Apparently when I moved it the the ground, I switched it from vibrate to beeper.  That was a good laugh at the end of a long day.

My Wood-Mizer makes an audible zing-zing sound when it detects metal.  ;D

Now if you hooked it up to the rear toe board you would really have something.  :) :) :)

Lol, I never use it on the beeper setting, it's alway on vibrate, so I didn't even know what it sounded like. Now I do 🤓
