I'm new to the forum, so thanks for letting me be a part it.
I'm rebuilding a pair 359's. I have a couple questions.
Seems the Walbro non EPA HDA 190 and 198 carbs are NLA. If wrong, please correct me. From an overall performance standpoint, what is the best Walbro carburetor to use? 191-1 maybe? I prefer to stay away from accelerator pumps.
I'm using Meteor 47mm 357XP tops for both saws in order to maintain displacement. Curious if anyone has experience with them. If so, how are they?
Would I gain anything if I remove the blunt end of transfer dividers by bringing them to a point?
I don't do port work, just curious if anyone has tried this.
Besides the simple stuff like muff mods, tight squish, and a slight ignition timing advance, am I missing any non machine work performance enhancements?
Performance can be interpreted in more ways than torque/power.
Thanks for any help, and thanks again for for allowing me to be a part of this forum.
