Title: Timberjack 240 maintenance questions
Post by: Putnamqdm@yahoo on February 24, 2020, 07:12:54 PM
I have a TJ 240 GAEAN with a 453 Detroit and Automatic transmission. Can anyone tell me what type trans fluid  it takes (New process Auto Tranny) also how to check level does it have to be warm and in Neutral? does it fill from dip stick?

Anyone know approximate weight of the skidder wheel size  23.1-26 have to remove it not sure if my 26HP tractor can lift for install.

What type of Hydraulic Fluid does it take?

I would say standard 303 for hyd, trans should be what you would run in a allison.  Is it for sale? A friend is looking to update his older 230.

I'm guessing you are in putnam ny.  Andy Swinton is in lake george, he is a TJ wizard. PM me and I will give you his number, if you are in putnam
