Hello all, first time poster long time lurker. Had to cut down this tree and have know clue what it is, as i am beyond novice in the tree id department. Thanks in advance for the help, its definitly appreciated.

I am no expert but believe this is Mulberry.
I am no expert either, but I do know you are not in Maine. ;D
What's the plan for the wood?
Ahh Mulberry! Did some research and seems you could be correct, thanks.
ANd no not in Maine, I'm in Virginia Beach. 8) Not really sure, possibly slab it up, sealed it just in case. Any thoughts?
Looks like poison ivy.
Yea, I'm pretty sure the vine is poision ivy.
The tree bark looks like hickory to me.

Not poison ivy, so don't panic! No hair on the vine. More likely Virginia Creeper.
I vote mulberry.
Definitely mulberry.
Those are green mulberries in the pic, an easy one!
