Hi everyone, I am in central New York State. What is the general rule of thumb for when it is safe to cut pine and spruce to avoid stain and Sawyer grubs (safe as in, there would be no hurry to saw them) I have some trees that are in the way of my new barn spot, but I am okay waiting for a bit, as I don't have time to saw them immediately. Also I am thinking of getting a load of pine for some projects, but again I won't have time to saw them till over the winter.
