Title: 2 cycle oil
Post by: kevinj54 on October 04, 2020, 12:31:37 PM
Has anyone used the Laser premium oil???

It meets the JASO FD & the Stihl Silver bottle is JASO FB. Both are full synthetic.

Anyway, I picked up a jug and have been running it in my old Super XL.

So far so good.

I no longer have a Stihl close by so the jug of Laser is a backup plan.

As long as it meets or exceeds the OEM spec you will be fine especially on your old slow revving dinosaur. ;D Opinions on oil are like armpits, everybody has them and they all smell.

Ya, I was afraid to ask but found nothing about this oil in a search.
Cutters choice sells the stuff.
I still run the Stihl silver bottle in my Stihl saws.
I have to run a shingle mill blade about 60 miles to a saw doc tomorrow, I should find a Stihl dealer somewhere along the way & get some more oil!!!

I like full synthetic regardless of brand, just cause it gives me the warm fuzzies. Doubt it actually matters. I generally get Stihl, but just finished a bottle of PoulanPro. Next fill will be Stihl again.

On my way to the saw doc I saw a new Stihl dealer in a little town 10 miles away!!!

I now have a new supply of engine oil and what seems to be a decent stocking dealer close by again.
