Title: What kinda oak is this

Fellow on fb is trying to give this oak away. Says it's been down a little over a year. Just wondered if anyone caan id it?

Can't tell much from the photo. Not to be a smart alleck, but looks like firewood.

He is offering it up as firewood. At first glance I thought it actually was a cedar but once I blew up the pic I could see otherwise. I just wondered if anyone else got fooled. I'm not interested in it myself. I have more trees for firewood than I will ever use.

Looks like the bark has slipped, might be worm food.

Do some people use "oak" in place of "tree"?

I swear I hear of a new kind on "oak" about once a month.
