Title: 648G3 Transmission shifting to neutral
Post by: Loggergus on November 11, 2020, 05:29:57 PM
I have a 648G3 direct drive... with the H pattern bump shifter... it started neutraling out this summer when I shifted to 5th gear...did it for about a week and then quit doing it... I bought a remand shifter for it thinking that would fix it... but it didn't...it would do it off and on but of late it does it constantly in both reverse and forwards... we fixed a couple of wires and took all the plugs and solenoids off and cleaned them and put contact grease in the plugs... moved the solenoids around and now it seems to be worse...any ideas I'm guess it's a valve or sensor... not sure which one though... there's 8 solenoids on the transmission... not sure which one controls what gears...

Any related codes? Also I assume it is direct drive.
