Either he doesn't know his stuff, or you misunderstood or heard him wrong. The G denotes heated handles, unless something changed. The only chainsaw in production, and I think it's a first, with fuel injection is the Stihl MS500i. It's created a lot of buzz because of it.

I would say you need to visit a different dealer. There are two Husky dealers within about 1/2 hour from me, one I do business with, the other I am not sure they know which way the chain goes on. Just because they have a sign out front doesn't mean they know what they are doing.
xpg is heated handles , I got lots of them
g means generator. Heat!!! I had one. Replaced the handle twice.
If that goofball has a sign up, it should be taken down when he gets terminated. How a dealer could be that out of touch with his own products is kind of sad.
The returning 372 should be the same saw that was discontinued about a year ago. Only the standard XP model is on the price sheet. The heated XPG is not returning; at least here in the US. Ed would know if it's going to be available in Canada.

No sign of a 372 xpg on any booking sheets we have seen. So I'm saying no . Out west in Canada alot of dealers are out of pretty much everything in husky. No 365, 372, 572 or 562
So what was the 372xpw.....some sort of west coast setup? Just a full-wrap?

Kevin, at one time it was a 75cc saw with a typical 3/4 (called a full) wrap. But I think that now they are just 72cc. @Spike60 (https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=profile;u=13669) and @ehp (https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=profile;u=1195) would know.
I saw that it was more cc's.....but probably on the earlier models.
So forgive me because I'm not up on current saws....but I though the 572xp was supposed to replace the 372xp....now the 372xp is coming back and so what happened to the 572xp...was it then dropped?

the 572 is here to stay but like before alot of loggers or tree guys want the 372 so Husky keeps building them , I'm sure if you added up all the 371 and 372's ever built you would be very surprised at how big that number would be , its been a while sense I have seen a 75cc xpw

XPW is not only a 372 designation. Any saw with a full wrap/west coast set up gets the XPW tag. For a while, near the end of the non X-torq 372's, 372 XPW's came with a 51.4mm top end. All of those saws had product codes with "74" in the 4th and 5th digits. There was still a 372xpw after the change to the XT saws.
To make inventory a little less complicated, there are no more separate powerhead SKU's for the W models. There are just regular XP powerheads to order. W models are now created by ordering a "W kit" that includes the full wrap handle and larger spikes. Kits are available for the 372, 572, 562, 390, and 395. Probably some 576's also. Could do a 365, 555 or 565 W if you wanted by ordering the 372/562/572 kit. The kits all retail for $30. It's a steal, considering the cost of the individual parts.

That earlier 372 xpw 75cc saw sounds like a saw to collect/use. Or maybe most of them are clapped out by now. :(
