Customer dropped off 10 blades to be sharpened. 6 I did before. 4 are first time in the shop. REALLY deep gullet. The profile guide doesn't match the 7º or 10º. The rest of the profiles aren't even close. Customer says the blades were bought new from WM, first time being sharpened.
What are they?

It looks like 7/39.5 (7 turbo). Anyway yes that one's gullet is deeper than either of those two gauge profiles.
If I could see it with the teeth pointing the other way which is the way I usually look at a blade, I'd be more sure whether it's 7/39 or the new 7/47 but it still doesnt look like the latter to me.

Sure looks like 7/39.5 (7 turbo) to me. Top picture right two teeth look like they have a negative face angle, maybe its just distortion in the photo. We saw whole batches of blades with that feature when JB and I visited Liberia.
I dont know how to crack that serial number code but maybe woodmizer would.
Here is a picture that I just took showing the 7° gauge and a section of 7/39, (Turbo 7) blade.

That should answer your question. ;D
It does look like a turbo blade for sure.
Its a Turbo, the deep gullet is why they perform better than the standard 7 in wide cuts.
Sure looks the same. Thanks for taking the time Magicman to snap a pic.
So these Turbo 7's, best used for hardwood wide cuts? The local WM dealer sold the customer the blades. Customer cuts spruce, pine and hemlock, 6-15 inch diameter, using a LT40. Would a 9º or 10º perform better?
Not for me. I never had but one trial 9° blade and phased out my 10° blades several years ago. I only use T7° blades, although I do have a box of 4° blades at Resharp now.
I used turbo 7 on Lt40 42HP 158" 045/1-1/4 for 4-5 years moving on to these from 9/10 degree, and T7 only in 055/1-1/2/195" with 55 HP. T7 is more general for high performing in all wood vs the other two and excellent cutting pine and hemlock. Knotty spruce is the only place it isn't perfect but once you break down to narrow widths it is fine.
I mainly used 10's on the old 24 onan lt40hd, when i picked up the new lt40hdwide with the 38, I took a box of 10's. what a nightmare. I was sawing semi frozen EWP and nothing but waves, I spent a few days of frustatation adjusting the mill in cold snowy weather trying to figure out the new mill. Brian at WM sent me some sample 7's and 7T's and 7carbide. Well the carbide worked like a charm, until i hit that 1st nail. The 7's were OK but the once I put on the 7/39T I haven't looked back. It is the only thing I run now in everything. I did upgrade to 7/39T BIMETAL in 1.25" and love them. I have thought about going to 1.5" but I do know they do not get as many sharpenings. Only so many revolutions around the wheels before they break.
