And I thought we had some ugly loads! :D
Boy would our troopers love to see those loads.
Im very glad that we arent allowed to load like that here. We dont have the roads for it and a lotta people would get killed. the industry would pile it 18 feet high if they could and send you off to your death for a $75 run down 68 @ grandview.
A lot of those trucks never see a state or town road although many may have had a way into the Millinocket mill.
The golden road is Maine's 96 mile long logging truck highway, reaches into the heart of the north woods, mostly dirt from one end to the other.
If you are on it you will yield right of way to log trucks or else.
Private road, run what you brung.
at one time the weight limit was 400,000 . most of the trucks are not highway trucks. 46 rears would be light weight on that rd

'If the good lord's willen and the creeks don't rise' The great one.
My grandparents said that every night as the one went to bed while the other stayed up. We watched a lotta johnny carson, me and nan.
Speaking of overloaded log trucks, no music except the sound of metal and wood scraping tar. This guy was doing good going downhill but them uphills will get ya. Good thing he had a loader to offload some.
