Title: Replacement belt information required
Post by: PitreG on April 03, 2021, 09:02:00 AM
I want to thank everyone who has helped me in the past as I am new to all of this. I have an old cook's mill with 22" drive wheels. I am having issues with the belt drooping at the bottom of the wheels. The dust collects on the wheel and within 20min of sawing, the entire mill starts to vibrate very heavily.

Do you guys know what belt I should use to make it snug all around or if there is something I am missing that would prevent this.

I was unaware that Cook's made a mill with belts on the wheels, but if that's the case I'm sure they can tell you what belt to use. If you just want to figure it out yourself try a belt 1" shorter than what you now have. It will be harder to get on and off but may stop the sawdust accumulation problem. You probably already knew this, but just wanted to try to help a fellow Cook's owner. Good luck!
