Title: Logosol M8 carriage play
Post by: cbhillman57 on October 07, 2021, 11:39:20 AM
Good morning...newbie here. I bought a used Logosol M8 for $1000. Appears to have been both well-used and well-kept. I mounted an old but trusty Husky 572XP on the carriage. Systems seems to work well, but I have 2 concerns. I had to shim the saw quite a bit to get the guide bar parallel to the log beds, and the carriage seems to have a fair amount of play on the beam. I verified the guide bar is straight, mounts are clean and the saw is not otherwise bent/damaged; and I can't seem to find any specs on allowable play for the carriage. I don't want to buy a new carriage just to find out that the one I have is fine...

Thoughts?

Upon further consideration, I am replacing the carriage and bought new slides for the old carriage. I will post the results for future Logosol owners.
