Title: Coil stock for blades
Post by: Mainecoast on October 11, 2021, 08:10:09 PM
Well after asking what good a mill is when you can't get blades and parts. Someone mentioned buying a coil stock of my 2" blade I run.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I'd get my hands on a coil of 2" blade? I can make the weld jig and weld them up!

Can you anneal the weld too?  Faulty welds have led to plenty of premature band failures.

I would call Wood Mizer or any of the band suppliers and ask about buying a coil, you might have a side gig opportunity.

I would give sponsor on the left, Menominee saw a shout. I've seen band stock there on up to well over a foot.  :)  They can help you if yer looking for double cut bands.
