Anyone know the difference between the Pro-Am Double Guard and the Pro-Lite bars?
The Echo model numbers are 16F0AD3366C and 16F0LD3366C, both for .325 x .05 chains, BPX and LPX respectively.
I am not finding any specs or information, including whether they can be cross matched.

I notice in the Oregon parts finder they list K216 bar mount for both CS-490 and CS-501

They are both discontinued according to my 2018 Oregon catalog. Superseded to another name of bar also. I'll do some more digging and report back.
Pro-lite is now Speedcut and Pro-Am is now Advance-Cut.
Wow, what a confusion Oregon creates; Speed, Versa, Control, Power, Dura, Advance.....
Too much work to figure them out.
I guess it's better to stick with Echo's part numbers to cross reference.
Echo-man1, I am guessing from ECHO's description that the one with the smaller nose is more of a safety bar.
Both mention lightweight and durable so that differentiation is not clear between them.
One mentions professionals and the other loggers so that is ambiguous too.
Which of the two would be stiffer and which lighter?
I'm guessing a bigger nose is heavier but that does not account for the unknown construction of either.

The bar has a 12T larger nose radius than those narrow radius tip bars, but I have a larger nose Oregon 3/8" bar (120SXEA041) on my small 35cc Echo saw and I have not noticed any disadvantages (only cut some small firewood with this though....).

I also think the Husqvarna X-cut chain SP33G 66DL will fit nicely. I have the Husqvarna X-cut chain on my small Echo and it works great.

Thanks for that. Picked up a cs-501p and it had the oem 18" bar that you noted but the dealer installed a Stihl chisel chain. He carries both saw lines and guess the Echo chain wasn't in stock.
I want to pick up a 16" setup though.

OK, the Echo saws here in Europe comes with Oregon chains from the factory.
My CS-501SX came from the factory with a solid (not laminated) 16" Echo bar with the Oregon 21BPX chain. The EU versions has totally different parts numbers on the Echo bars compared to US.

I believe you can also use the Oregon 95TXL066G chain on that 16" bar (160VXLGK216).

I'm not sure about the narrow kerf chain that you listed (95TXL) on that bar.
The chain notes include "SpeedCut narrow kerf chains should always be used in conjunction with narrow kerf guide bars" and the bar that you listed notes that is it not a narrow kerf bar.'
The confusion comes in that only one bar is listed for all chains on the USa echo product finder for the CS-501p saw so they note the narrow kerf bar requirement but don't appear to show an available bar meeting that requirement.

OK, it seems there is some confusion regarding the Echo bars/chains at least.
The Oregon website states that the 95TXL fits on the CS-501P etc:

The thing is that my first Echo CS-501SX came with a 13" Echo bar (V33S20-56ML-ED) and the 95TXL056G chain from the factory.
But that saw is gone so I cant measure the thickness of that Echo bar. Or the protrution of the 95TXL chain.
It seems it comes down to the sideways protrution of the cutter compared to the bar:

Each cutter protrudes out to one side only, so the next cutter on the chain of course protrudes out to the other side. This is so the chain cuts a wider cut than the bar thickness, so it does not get stuck.
I did measure the thickness of the small CS-3510ES Echo bar just now, and it measures 0.1575".
And the 91PX chain cutter on that saw protrudes 0.044" out to the side. This bar/chain is 0.050" and 3/8" low profile.
I did also measure the Oregon 12" bar (120SXEA041) I bought for that saw, and that bar is narrower, at 0.151" thickness. So it leaves more room for the bar in the cut.
I guess on just have to measure the Oregon bar thickness to be sure, and the chain cutter protrution.

I suspect strongly that the 160VXLGK216 bar is narrow enough to work with the 95TXL chain.
But to be sure one has to measure the cutter protrution when the chain is mounted on that bar.

They haven't been very prompt in their messaging lately so it might require a phone call.
