It figures after the hot dry high fire danger spell we just had that we'd have a snow storm.  I love Michigan weather ::)

Rain, snow, hail and sleet, will be in the woods as soon as I eat.
But it takes a long time to eat this kind of weather.

It was 80 wednesday, it's 38 and sleeting this morning (with 35 mph winds). I called my little brother in Tampa this morning to get a weather report from him, haven't heard back yet. He is probably fishing barefoot. I have slippers on for petes sake.

Been cool and in the 40's here for 3 days, gonna rain 1/2 inch over the next couple days. I like our forecasts here, 50 % chance of rain every day. :D :D I tilled the garden, or 1/3 of it before the tiller drive train went out, and it was not what I call wet. Father planted peas on monday this week.

Brand new MTD tiller practically, with only 4 or 5 hours use over a 4 year period. Now the drive train has calved, what a piece of junk.  It's not fun breaking that down to get to the inside of the housing. >:(

Winter is just starting down under.  only 15 Celcius today  I think that's about 50 F.

Once we start getting frosts, I might have to start thinking about packing the shorts away and puttin on long pants.  I didn't have to for the last few years but at least they would keep the sawdust out of my boots.

They usually run around in undies, coz it's too hot.

It's 30C in my lounge room.

We were over there last Sept for the grand daughter's christening.  Way too hot :) :)

Could only go out for a walk at night.

Our daughter, her husband and their beautiful little daughter (Proud grandfather) came over here for Christmas and brought all their winter clothes, :o :o :o I thought it was hot but they were all bundled up.  Somehow, they survived.

Snow's accumulating as we speak.   >:(  We'll see if the nasty forecast holds true in the morning--might be glad I didn't pack up the ole snowblower for the season.   ::)  I'm envious of Furby and his roadtrip--he picked just the right time to fly south!

Well, we mainly got a dusting, so no need for the snowblower.  It'll actually be kinda nice tonight to light a fire and watch a movie.  I guess snow's not always so bad.  One last hurrah before we really get into summer.  Now...if we'd gotten a foot of snow, I wouldn't be talking like this.   ;)

Well,  we had 40 degrees on our thermometer this morning.  But the pasture down below looked like it had frost on it.  Had to wear a light jacket and jersey gloves until about noon. ::)

100 miles or so to the north of ya and we hit 31 degrees this morning with a heavy frost.  Put blankets on a few things in the garden last night to make sure they stayed nice and warm...the boss was wanting to put bout 50 tomato plants in the ground last week.  Good thing I procrastinated about tilling some more garden. ;D

We had frost last night.  I had already put out a few pepper and tomato plants and covered them last night.  A few of them got out from under the covers and got bit.  I got buckets over them now.  I knew better than to set them out this early,  but I am like a kid at Christmas when it comes to waiting ::)

Was thinking about feeding Furby Polk greens and grits for dinner,  but the polk got frostbit last night and Furby indicated that he was happy I didn't fix grits :D :D

The Paw paw's are in bloom,  but it didn't seem to hurt them.

We had a lite frost here this morning.  I haven't talked to any tomatoe farmers yet, hope they made out okay.  Didn't get any rain though.  Just blue skies and a lite breeze, sure made it feel cool.

It blowed and snowed here from last nite to tonite, nothing stuck much although it was white when I woke up. It was 27 and its getting cold tonight. It was so bad out I even dusted lights and washed some windows today. Hoping the blueberries make it, the maters said they'd just as soon come back in for a spell ( I heard the peppers chuckle), the taters and peas didn't have much say at this point  :-\

Down here it might have hit 70. I sat outside this afternoon for maybe about an hour and got sunburned!!  ;D   Right now it feels about 55 outside. It may be a little warmer, but I've lost about 44 lbs. of insulation. Thats my guess anyways. :D :D

Everthing was all white with fresh snow here yesterday, all melted now and add that the the rain, we had 2.5 inches in 2 days. A little water in people's basements. Some flooding long the river front of the Capital city (water in the Saint John River is 6.5 meters above sea level). It's not over yet, but not beleived to be real serious as long as the rain lets up. For reference, in 1973 the water level was 8.5 meters above sea level (record high).

At Fredericton it was 7.6 metres above sea level at 11 a.m. Saturday morning (Apr 30th) and it's expected to decrease to 7.3 metres on Sunday and remain steady at 7.3 metres on Monday. Evacuations of residents has taken place at Maugerville and Shefield, route 105 is closed.
