The neighbor down the road comes down and takes a few slabs each summer to make benches for around his bonfire pit.  They last a season or two then he throws them on the fire and starts over.

We take low grade cedar lumber and manufacture a small triangle for a company to use in their bird houses and bird feeders.  It is a godsend to us to be able to use large amounts of low grade lumber.

Have any of you went to small manufactures and asked if there was a part that you could make for them?  Some companies have items they just hate to make and would love to outsource them.
