Title: Allison TT-2000/2220 ID and parts
Post by: mudfarmer on April 16, 2022, 08:25:24 AM
Anyone have knowledge of these old Detroit Allison power shifts? Looking to make a deal but need to know I can get the missing pieces somewhere.

Some kind of old Allison TT "remote mount" as the service manual calls it, behind a 4-53. Driveshaft between the two. Need torque converter, and the torque converter cover which supports input flange. Possible other pieces too. Will get a pic of the parts diagram  from service manual later if that helps.

No ID plate anywhere on transmission. It has the internal brake, also only one reverse range. Unsure if it has the front output disconnect, does have external parking brake on rear output. Also PTO output above rear output.

Any tips on narrowing down ID and where to possibly get parts much appreciated. I don't know much about Auto transmission and haven't stayed in a motel 6 in years. It is in a Frankenstein machine so no calling dealer

Everything up to the pump retainer (#11) is there already. Not sure yet how to ID the transmission to know if these part #s are right, or what other model parts might interchange
