Title: Dumm question
Post by: tacks Y on April 28, 2022, 05:48:01 PM
Working on a 225D engine swap, cradle repair and more. Bought a new winch line and putting the chain choker slides on. Does the bigger opening go towards the winch or towards the tail? The TJ was towards the tail and my JD face the winch. So one must be wrong?

The bigger end faces the winch.  This allows the slide to pivot to one side as the load is applied while keeping the winch cable fairly straight.

There is a pic here at the top of the page.
