Title: Partner 7700, should I buy it?
Post by: Guydreads on August 10, 2022, 06:37:28 AM
So I have some experience with Partner chainsaws. Can anyone tell me if this is a good saw. I assume it is part of their pro lineup. It's 50 bucks, bar and chain included. Has compression and spark. Let me know. Thanks in advance :)

Yes, I'd definitely grab it for $50. Just want be sure it's complete as missing parts would be hard to find.

It is quite a pleasant saw to run, but it is extremely rare - I've have been in the trade since before it came out, but have never seen one.
And you cannot get parts for it.
I would buy it just to give it a safe home.

Well, unfortunately, it's already sold. Thanks for the advice, I'll just jump on something like that faster next time.

Unsupported saws suck that way. You can spend hrs looking online for parts....some even yrs. Then you buy a donor saw and after you rob its part(s), you wind up trying to restore it too.....then CAD hits. 8)
